Privacy Policy

AppStudio ("we", "our", or "us") provides the Random Decision iOS application (the "App"). This policy explains which data is processed when you use the App, why it is used, where it goes, and the choices available to you.

1. Data We Process

The App does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, precise location, photos, microphone recordings, or payment-card details. We do not include decision text, contact details, or AI prompt content in Firebase Analytics events or Crashlytics custom context.

2. Data That Stays on Your Device

Your decision lists, wheel configurations, results, history, settings, and selected-contact history are stored in the App's local storage. Contact access is requested only when you use the Random Contact feature. The App reads contact names and phone numbers to select and display a result; it does not upload your address book.

Local App data may be included in an iCloud or device backup if you enable Apple's backup features. You can clear supported history inside the App or remove the App to delete its local container. Because we do not operate an account database for this content, we cannot view or recover it for you.

3. Optional AI Features

AI generation is optional. When you request AI suggestions, the App sends the minimum prompt content needed to generate a response:

• For decision options: the topic you enter and existing option labels used to avoid duplicates.
• For Truth or Dare: the selected category and prompt type, language, and a limited list of existing prompts used to avoid duplicates.

For users detected as being in mainland China through device region or language settings, requests are sent to DeepSeek using the deepseek-chat model. Other requests are sent through OpenRouter to an OpenAI model. The App does not add your contact data, advertising identifier, decision history from unrelated features, or account identity to these prompts.

We do not run a server that stores AI prompts. The AI providers receive and may retain or review request content under their own terms and privacy policies. Do not submit confidential, personal, or sensitive information. If you do not want prompt content sent to an AI provider, do not use the AI features; the App's other decision tools remain available.

4. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

Firebase Analytics helps us understand aggregate use of the App. It may process an automatically generated app-instance identifier, approximate region, device and app information, session activity, feature selections, onboarding category, advertising events, paywall outcomes, and verified purchase events. We do not set a Firebase user ID or send names, emails, wheel labels, contact details, or AI prompt text.

Firebase Crashlytics receives crash and diagnostic information such as installation identifiers, timestamps, stack traces, device model, OS and App version, memory or disk information, and sanitized error codes. Our custom crash context uses fixed feature and operation labels, not user-entered content. Firebase states that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are generally retained for 90 days before deletion begins. Analytics retention follows the settings of our Google Analytics property and Google's applicable retention rules.

5. Advertising, Consent & Tracking

The free version may display ads through Google AdMob. Google may process IP address, approximate location, device and app information, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, performance data, crash data, and other diagnostics to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and provide analytics.

Where required, the App presents Google's consent message and Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you allow tracking, Google and its partners may use the IDFA and combine App data with third-party data for personalized advertising or advertising measurement. If you deny ATT, the IDFA is unavailable to the App for tracking; limited or non-personalized ads may still use other data permitted by law, your consent choices, and platform rules.

ATT applies to cross-company tracking; Firebase product analytics and crash reporting are separate diagnostic and analytics functions. The App also supports Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork attribution.

6. Subscriptions & Paywalls

Apple processes all App Store purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account credentials. The App receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement information so it can unlock Pro features.

Superwall provides remote paywall content, campaign decisions, and paywall analytics. It may process an anonymous App user identifier, vendor identifier, device and App attributes, paywall and campaign interactions, purchase history, and subscription status. The App also sends the selected onboarding topic to Superwall for audience targeting. We do not identify Superwall users with an email address or other account profile.

• Tracking: change permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Contacts: change access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts.
• Advertising consent: make your choices in Google's consent message when it is presented, and use Google My Ad Center for Google advertising controls.
• AI: do not use AI generation if you do not want prompt content sent to the listed providers.
• Local data: clear supported histories in the App or uninstall it to remove its local data container.
• Subscriptions: view, manage, or cancel through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.

9. Retention, Deletion & Legal Rights

Local data remains until you clear it or remove the App, subject to any device backups you control. Third-party providers retain off-device data according to their policies and our service configuration. Retention can vary by data type; for example, Firebase states that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are generally retained for 90 days before deletion begins.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal data, and to withdraw consent. We do not directly sell personal information. Some advertising activity may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain laws; you can limit it through ATT and available consent controls.

Because the App does not have user accounts, much of the off-device information is associated with pseudonymous installation or device identifiers rather than information we can independently match to your name. Contact us and provide enough context to locate the relevant data without sending unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to direct you to a provider's own request process.

10. Security & International Processing

We minimize the content sent to service providers and use platform security and encrypted network connections offered by those providers. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable transfer mechanisms and privacy terms.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request a child's name, email address, or account profile. Parents and guardians should supervise a child's use of AI and advertising-supported features. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an AI prompt or support request, contact us so we can evaluate the appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the App, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required. The version published at this URL is the current policy.
